JEB BUSH: LAY OFF OBAMA

January 7th, 2009 · 1 Comment · George W. Bush, Politics

This past week on Fox News Sunday, Bush41 endorsed his son Jeb for a future seat in the Florida Senate, but admited that the dynasty might be a bit sullied due to that whole debacle called George, saying,  ”Right now is probably a bad time because maybe we’ve had enough Bushes in there.”

Ya think?

Jeb not only agrees, but backs Obama in the process, succeeding in the easy task of proving he is the smarter of the Bush sons. Jeb tells the L.A. Times, ”The opposition should be about ideas, and not what my brother suffered through in the last eight years. I don’t wish that on President Obama.”"

He also said he’s been impressed with Obama’s appointments and called the president-elect someone who is “smart, disciplined, not rash.”  Jeb, who is married to a Mexican woman, believes that the GOP should cooperate with the new president on issues of climate change and reforming the immigration system, taking aim at those in the Republican party who have used harsh language in their opposition to illegal immigrants.

“The adjectives and adverbs used, the raising of the voice and the anger . . . I think is very harmful politically for the Republican Party,” he conitnued. “There’s got to be a better way of expressing our views without turning people off.”
